Permanent Jewelry. What, How, and Why?

At the beginning of this year, we finally added the option of permanent jewelry to our studio's offerings! Many of you may still be wondering what exactly it is, how it is applied, how long it lasts, what materials are used... In preparation for our ‘Get Blinged Out’ walk-in day, we decided to write this blog post to explain all the uncertainties, questions, and unknowns you might have. :)

Permanent jewelry refers to a piece of jewelry— a bracelet, necklace, or anklet— that does not have a traditional clasp for opening and closing and cannot be removed or put on at will. This makes it a very special accessory that is always a part of you and your everyday look.

Of course, although it is called ‘Permanent Jewelry,’ there is always the possibility of an accident. You might get caught on something and break the chain, which may sound undesirable, but it is always a much better option for the chain to break rather than for you to suffer an injury. That's why you should carefully consider whether permanent jewelry is a good option for you and your lifestyle:

  • What kind of job you have
  • Whether you practice any contact sports
  • If you wear gloves at work and how often you change them
  • If you frequently undergo medical exams (MRI, CT scan, X-ray, etc.)

Advantages of Permanent Jewelry:

  • No need to constantly remove and put it back on, avoiding the risk of losing your jewelry
  • Each piece is customized specifically for you in terms of length, texture, and additional charms
  • Made from high-quality materials
  • A perfect way to create a beautiful memory with a loved one
  • Adds an element of elegance and uniqueness that elevates any look to a new level

If you've decided that this is the perfect option for you, it's time for the next step: booking an appointment and visiting the studio. When you arrive, we will first go through the selection of chain styles, quantity, length, and whether you'd like to add charms, etc. You can always bring inspiration photos to help us match your vision and desires as closely as possible. :) The process is quick and painless, meaning you'll be ready to walk out and show off your new jewelry in no time!

In the next blog post, we will explain the different types of materials we use for permanent jewelry so you can choose the perfect option for yourself.
